The Deadhouse Sessions, held under London’s cultural epicentre Somerset House, are fast becoming the place to be. With parties hosted by YOYO, JustJam, and Rinse FM last year, this year we were expecting BIG TINGS.
Kicking off proceedings, the West London club kings YOYO were back, with resident bad boys Seb Chew and Leo Greenslade on the ones and twos, bringing their trademark hip hop party sound to the dancefloor.
The artistic backdrop prints and projections were supplied by photographer Matt Stuart, artists Bredun Edwards and Marina Sersale, and urban collective The Lurkers. The exhibition itself was entitled “The Magic Lantern Show” and derives from Charles Dickens’ description of the streets of London.
