Back in 2010 there wasn’t a lot out there catering for females into trainers. Spotting that void, YaniLDN set out to address this issue the only way she knew how…
Fresh outta uni with a deep understating of social media and it’s applications, she started “Big Eyes, Little Soles” – initially a blog where the main objective was to collate all the relevant female-related sneaker news for other like-minded ladies. This movement quickly gained momentum however, and BELS has since grown into a leading light in the world of women’s trainers, streetwear, and fashion. They now also cover exclusive events, and have unprecedented access to many upcoming sneaker releases, thanks to a growing team of ladies across not only the UK, but Europe too!
So after 5 crazy years, Yani thought it was about time to celebrate how far they had come, and how much the scene they represented had developed. And what better way to celebrate than with a banging night featuring 3 incredible DJ’s, free nail-art and make up, and oh so much more???
With the DJ line up kept TOP SECRET until the day of the event, whispers were abound regarding their identities… as it turned out, we were treated to Benton opening up, before the mighty Skream took over for an exclusive old skill UKG set! And as if that wasn’t enough, the South London legend that is Loefah took us through until the early hours of the morning with a banging techno set!!!
Of course, everyone’s footwear was on point, as expected when the cream of London’s tastemakers and influences are brought together lol 😉
Thanks again to Yani and the rest of the crew dem for inviting us along to raise a glass and skank a foot to the last 5 years of BELS – keep doing yo thang fam, you’ll always have full support from #teamNNO 🙂
Enjoy the rest of the pics from the night below…
